Digital Motion X-Ray
Digital Motion X-ray or DMX is simply the latest evolution of x-ray that allows the clinician to take x-rays while the patient moves in a standing, weight-bearing position. Computer generated images allow for incredibly low exposure levels. We are told that when the state inspectors check out the units, their instruments can't even pick up a reading.
Cold Laser Therapy
Cold laser therapy is an application of red and near-infrared light over an injured area to improve soft tissue healing and relieve both chronic and acute pain. Non-heat producing, or "cold", laser light energy directs light energy to the body's cells without injuring them.
Spinal Decompression
Spinal Decompression provides relief to severe back pain sufferers by gently reducing the pressure within spinal disks. The bones of the spine are slowly and methodically separated using a stat of-the-art non-surgical Spinal Decompression Unit. The theory behind it is that as the vertebrae are separated, pressure is slowly reduced within the disk (intradiskal pressure), until a vacuum is formed. This vacuum "sucks" the gelatinous center of the disk back inside, thereby reducing the disk bulge or disk herniation. Disk bulge reduction removes pressure off the spinal nerves and reduces pain and disability. It also pulls much-needed oxygen, nutrients and fluid into injured degenerated disks, allowing the healing to begin.
Lifestyle and Nutrition Counseling
Lifestyle counseling is a critical part of what chiropractic care involves - from providing advice on lifting techniques, sleep, posture, exercise, and nutrition and diet, to ergonomic work environments and sports and recreational injury prevention.
Treatments for Disks
Treatments may include spinal adjustment or manipulation, and therapies such as electrotherapy, cold laser therapy, nonsurgical spinal decompression and ice/heat therapy.
Treatments for Migraines
Researchers in that study concluded that such treatments as relaxation training, thermal biofeedback combined with electromyographic (EMG) biofeedback, cognitive - behavioral therapy, nutritional changes, and to a lesser degree, acupuncture, are all modestly effective in treating migraine headaches.
